About Bio

With nearly three decades of experience in banking and finance across leading institutions, Farjad Ahmed brings a wealth of strategic insight to Ontik Global. His leadership has been instrumental in shaping Ontik’s growth, helping the company evolve with clarity, foresight, and purpose.
A proud alumnus of St. Joseph Higher Secondary School and a graduate of Rutgers University, Class of 1991, Farjad blends global perspective with local understanding. His long-standing career in finance provides a strong advisory backbone to our ventures, while his expansive network enables Ontik to connect with promising opportunities across various sectors.

Role & Contribution

Beyond his role at Ontik, Farjad remains deeply engaged in academic and social causes. He serves as a Trustee of the University of Asia Pacific (UAP), a Board Member of Bangladesh Cancer Aid Trust (BANCAT), and the Chairman of Alphamedic Ltd. Through these platforms, he champions youth empowerment, academia-industry collaboration, and public health awareness — values that resonate at the heart of Ontik’s mission.

Standard Chartered Bank

Oversaw retail risk, fraud risk management, credit initiation, underwriting, and mortgage credit operations. Strengthened risk governance across multiple business pillars.

Directed risk and compliance functions, ensuring robust systems for identifying, mitigating, and resolving key compliance issues.
